Press Release: CAB STRENGTHENS BOARD WITH SENIOR RETAIL MARKETER
Admin
Woolworths’ head of marketing operations, Karen Madden will join the board of the Circulations Audit Board (CAB) this month, the CAB announced today.
Madden, who will join the CAB Board as an advertiser representative, oversees all tactical advertising planning and production for the supermarket brand, including above the line, catalogues and point of sale.
She has also held senior marketing, merchandising and category roles for some of Australia’s best-known brands, including McDonalds, Australian Liquor Marketers, Coles Myer Liquor Group and Coles Supermarkets.
Madden said she was looking forward to representing the interests of advertisers and learning and sharing industry best practice on the CAB Board.
“Now more than ever, it is essential that we work together to ensure we have a reliable measurement platform upon which to base sound business decisions and investments,” said Madden.
“As audiences move more and more towards the digital space, it is crucial that we evolve measurement tools to match this changing media consumption.”
CAB chief executive, Paul Dovas said the CAB was pleased to welcome Madden at a time when the industry is going through a period of great change.
“The core of the CAB’s strength is its tripartite membership of publishers, advertisers and agencies. Advertisers played a central role in the creation of the CAB and, through working with the industry, they can share best practice, knowledge and insight as we navigate the changing media landscape,” said Dovas.
