The June launch of the ABA Web Audit Service was the culmination of more than 18-months behind the scenes meetings, discussions and collaboration which resulted in industry wide endorsement of our newest audit service for online and digital media publishers. At press time, more than 75 websites are now ABA audited.
The ABA Web Audit Service audits and verifies audience metrics and measurement rules compliance for websites and reports these audit results within the ABC/CAB eData platform and Nielsen Online’s Market Intelligence system (with an audit verification symbol
) in accordance with industry standards ensuring consistency, accuracy and comparability for advertisers and media buyers .
Kerry Field, MFA Digital Sub-Committee Chair and Partner, Innovation, Mindshare recently noted “The ABA’s role as independent monitor and auditor of online media gives media buyers greater visibility, confidence and understanding of traffic fluctuations and other anomalies.”
The service has also been expanded for CAB members with Digital Publications who are able to use the accredited Nielsen tag as part of CAB’s newest audit service for Digital Publications. Realview Technologies was the first digital publishing service provider to offer the audit service for clients. The audit allows for reporting of digital publications delivering through either pdf or page-turning technology and verifies the average unique requests or average unique views per issue of a publication.
