The ABC General Committee is pleased to welcome Jeremy Vaughan & Dean Shell as their newest representatives.
Jeremy, Managing Director of Haymarket Media is the new Magazine representative. He brings with him many year of experience working in publishing. Jeremy Vaughan joined Haymarket as a classified sales executive on Classic & Sports Car in 1986. He moved to the motoring trade division two years later and became group production manager. Jeremy became publisher of Classic & Sports Car in 1993 and a year later publishing director of Haymarket Specialist Publications. He also spent some time in Hong Kong as general manager of SCMP Haymarket Publishing before being appointed chief executive officer of Haymarket Worldwide Asia and director of Haymarket Worldwide in 1999. In 2003, Vaughan was appointed Managing Director of Haymarket Media and Events Australia. Jeremy is also vice chairman of Publishers Australia, Australia’s peak publishing trade body for producers of print and digital content.
Jeremy was voted in to fill the recent vacancy left by Sue Reeman.
Dean Shell, Investment Director of Universal McCann (UM) is the new Agency Representative. Dean joined UM in October 2008, as the Investment Director on the Australian Government account. His background has been mainly account management and investment management in a number of global media agencies in Melbourne predominantly. He has extensive Government advertising experience, having managed the Victorian Government’s largest individual department, the Transport Accident Commission. He is passionate about social change marketing, in particular governmental marketing. Dean also worked for Initiative for four years as the Regional Media Director on the Bunnings Warehouse account. A role which provided excellent insight into consumer behavioural patterns across regional Australia.
Dean has stepped in to fill the recent vacancy left by Lesley Mariott.
